St John's Church, located on the corner of York Road and Lancaster Road in Great Yarmouth, is set to reopen as a community arts centre after a £495,000 restoration project led by the Great Yarmouth Preservation Trust.

Darren Barker, managing director of the trust, said: "We acquired St John’s a few years ago when the Church of England decided it was surplus to their mission.

"Since Great Yarmouth Preservation Trust took ownership, it has been carefully mothballed and had emergency repairs undertaken while the trust undertook fundraising."
