Water damage leaves historic library unstaffed and only accessible to certain users
On June 12, the library service posted on Facebook that Blofield Library would be operating solely in Open Libraries mode due to "unforeseen circumstances".
Officers at Norfolk County Council, which runs the library service, subsequently revealed that the issue was that leaky guttering had caused water damage in the staff-only areas of the North Street library.
Because that needs to be fixed, it means the library - which dates back to the 19th century and is a former parish reading room - is currently unstaffed.
