Traders fear 'ludicrous' pedestrianisation plans will kill their High Street
Shoppers can currently park for free for up to 45 minutes on the High Street in Hunstanton High Street, which also has spaces reserved for disabled drivers and loading bays serving shops.
But a new masterplan for the regeneration of the town says there is "an opportunity" to create new pedestrian zones along the High Street and part of nearby Westgate to create "a lively and more interesting, people-friendly space".
Independent businesses on the High Street fear the move, which is among proposals which have just gone out to public consultation, could choke off footfall.
