Four finalists revealed for EDP Business Awards’ Positive Impact in the Community Award
For almost 60 years, Break has supported children and young people in, around and leaving care across East Anglia.
The charity operates children’s homes, fostering, mentoring, wellbeing and leaving care services, while also engaging hundreds of volunteers through its shops, fundraising activities and community programmes.
With a network spanning Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire, its work reaches far beyond those it directly supports, creating opportunities for volunteers, local businesses and communities to get involved.
The judges praised Break’s “family-focused, relationship-first approach”, describing its commitment to young people as “truly unmatched”.
They said the charity works to “uplift people and enable them to live full and happy lives, not just provide care” and highlighted the breadth of its impact, noting that it “touches almost every community in Norfolk”.
