Town centre shops could be replaced by new block of flats
West Norfolk Council has received plans to redevelop the site at the corner of Howdale Road and Church Road, near the centre of Downham Market.
Four one-bedroom and two two-bed apartments would be incorporated in the two-storey building.

A planning statement said it would be within walking distance of the town centre.
It added: "Flats also diversify the local housing mix and addresses the housing need without the impacts of a large estate.

"Residential use of the site provides additional residents to support local shops and services and helps maintain Downham Market as a sustainable service centre."
It added it would use the site "more efficiently" and contribute to local housing supply.
A decision is expected from the council later this year.
