Seven new homes planned for field in Norfolk village
Dedveloper AB Cave Homes has applied to build on farmland in Terrington St Clement, near King's Lynn.
It says three "self-build" homes and two pairs of semi-detached houses could be accommodated on the one-acre site, beside Northgate Way.
A planning statement adds: "The proposed development would make a positive contribution to the supply of housing in Terrington, and to the range of properties available.
"In terms of delivery, the site is available for development now and the proposed dwellings could be constructed in the short-term."
It says the new properties would not have "significant adverse impacts upon the local landscape or natural environment".
The site is linked to the village by a footpath running alongside it, which leads to its facilities including a high school, primary school, Co-op supermarket, doctors, vets, sports facilities, two pubs and several smaller shops.
A decision from West Norfolk Council is expected later this year.
