Fenland council has received plans to knock down the building at Walsoken on the outskirts of Wisbech.

Planning papers say two three-bedroom properties could be built on the site on Norwich Road.

A statement adds it is surrounded to all sides by residential development and only a short distance from Wisbech town centre.

It says: "The proposed pair of semi-detached dwellings sit comfortably within the site and would enhance the character of the area."

The semi-detached houses would be set back from the road and each would have two parking spaces at the front, so residents would not need to park their cars on the street.

Both would also have rear gardens. A decision is expected later this year.
