Wymondham is one of Norfolk's fastest-expanding market towns.

Its built-up area population rose from 11,364 in 2001 to 16,335 in 2021, representing a 43.7pc increase over the two decades.

More recent data estimated the population at about 17,495.

The growth has been driven by new housing estates and better transport links, and the town's growth rate has outpaced regional and national averages.

Its location in the corridor running southwest from Norwich along the A11 makes it appealing for future development.

The town is also home to two secondary schools which both also host sixth forms.
