Team behind Michelin recommended pub earn Outstanding Achievement Award
The Gunton Arms is a traditional pub with rooms situated within the 1,000-acre deer park which surrounds Gunton Hall, near Cromer.
The pub was opened nearly 15 years ago, when Ivor Braka made the bold decision to open the doors of his private estate and launch a new venture – The Gunton Arms. It quickly gained acclaim both locally and nationally.
From day one, husband and wife team Stuart and Simone Tattersall have been at the helm – Stuart as the executive chef and Simone as head of the front of house team.
Having previously worked together at Mark Hix Restaurants, the pair brought a shared vision and a commitment to excellence to The Gunton Arms.
Their approach – rooted in the Hix philosophy of using local, seasonal ingredients and bold, ingredient-led cooking – helped shape The Gunton Arms into the iconic destination it is today.
One of the pub’s standout features is its own venison, often seen roaming just outside the windows while diners enjoy a menu full of creative and flavourful dishes, many of which are cooked over an open fire.
