Lawtronic, in King's Lynn, has been acquired by PAC Group, a company specialising in automation and control systems.

PAC Group said the deal underlines its commitment to investing in engineering skills and jobs across the UK and Ireland.

Lawtronic, founded in 1986, designs and builds industrial control panels and electrical systems from its base on the Hardwick Narrows estate.

The two companies say bringing their teams together will increase capacity for customers in key industrial sectors, while keeping Lawtronic’s existing strengths and local workforce.

PAC Group has pledged a careful integration, promising continuity for customers alongside new opportunities for collaboration and staff development.

The firm described the takeover as more than a simple expansion, branding it a strategic step towards building a stronger engineering platform serving Northern Ireland, Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland, and supporting long-term, skills-led growth in manufacturing.
