Donald Trump is a sensible and calm person who cares a lot about decorum. So he was understandably upset about Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib shouting during his State of the Union Address on Tuesday night. And that’s why we need to send these two U.S. representatives “back from where they came” (in Tlaib’s case … Detroit?) Better yet, we should “put them on a boat” with actor Robert De Niro, who is “sick,” “extremely Low IQ,” and “seriously CRIMINAL!” because he often criticizes Trump. And he cried in public or something? And by the way, you know who also hates Trump? Rosie O’Donnell. I think she lives in Ireland now. Anyway, America rocks. DONALD TRUMP IS STILL PRESIDENT!!!

Sorry, I know that doesn’t really make any sense. But that’s my initial interpretation of what Trump was attempting to express in his latest Truth Social missive:

Here’s a little more context. Trump regularly lobs racist attacks at Ilhan Omar. Now he’s mad because Omar and Tlaib shouted “liar” and “you have killed Americans,” after he described Minnesota’s Somali community as “pirates who ransacked” the state in his SOTU speech, and told Democrats they should be “ashamed of themselves” for not standing up to applaud his immigration crackdown.

This has nothing to do with Robert De Niro. The actor is a frequent Trump antagonist, and it appears the president brought him up because he saw this viral video from MS Now host Nicole Wallace’s podcast. In the clip, De Niro gets choked up while urging Americans to resist Trump’s divisiveness and fight to save the country.

This has even less to do with Rosie O’Donnell. It seems Trump was just free associating on the topic “actors who hate me” and thought of his old foe. O’Donnell moved to Ireland with her 13-year-old child last year, citing her feud with Trump and his second-term policies. O’Donnell just revealed that she quietly visited the U.S. recently to see her other children, but she said she does not regret her move and has no plans to return to the U.S. permanently.

Trump regularly threatens to deport his enemies, and he’s previously mused about stripping O’Donnell of her citizenship. Without getting into the intricacies of U.S. immigration law, he probably can’t put any of these people “on a boat” — especially not O’Donnell, De Niro, and Tlaib, who were all born in the U.S.

Now that you have the footnotes, I urge you to reread Trump’s Truth Social tirade and draw your own conclusions about who’s truly “deranged.”
