16 and 17-year-olds to vote at the next general election in huge plan for change
Government ministers are set to announce plans today to extend voting rights to 16 and 17 year olds in England. This would represent one of the most significant overhauls of the electoral system in recent years, granting over a million additional people a say in the country's governance.
