Motorists are being cautioned that skipping a " very important" eye test could hit their wallets with fines up to £1,000 and penalty points. Road users face stiff penalties if they fail to ensure their vision meets standards.

BlackCircles underscored the importance of regular eye checks, cautioning: "It is very important for drivers to have regular eye tests and, if needed, wear glasses while driving. Drivers with poor eyesight could face up to £1,000 fine and a three-point penalty."
