The rumours have been abounding for some time now in the media, both social and professional; by word of mouth; or simply in people’s dreams: the world is shifting towards the right, and fascism, joined at the hip with racism, is rerearing its unprepossessing head with the result that the freedoms of expression, of religion, of sexual orientation and of just about any other kind imaginable, are all being pulled out from under our feet by a relatively new generation of dictators, be they aspiring ones or the real, jackbooted McCoy. However, it should not be forgotten that part and parcel of ultra-right movements and parties everywhere is their tendency to self-destruct, for the simple reason that all the bigwigs in any organisation of this type - being as they are little Hitlers in their hearts - all want to be the supreme leader and thus, sooner or later, they either attack the person who currently........
