It just dawned on me, literally as dawn broke outside, that creating special charges for Juveniles who attack adults is a massive, missing piece of the safety legislation puzzle. The absence of respect for elders has sunk to where adult lives are in jeopardy. There is no existing law making this its own category of crime.
I understand that murder is murder, rape is rape, robbery is robbery, car jacking is car jacking and aggravated assault is aggravated assault, regardless of the perpetrators' age. It's also apparent that if these charges were applied to juvenile criminals, we'd have far less violent crime by repeat young traitors to community safety.
Sadly, that's not the case. Most violent traitors under the age of majority are not being tried as adults. They're allowed to shoot or beat people old enough to be their parents or grandparents with impunity.
One step in that direction is a clear-cut charge making it a felony for juveniles to assault adults. In the absence of home training or obeying overwhelmed parents, a special law needs to mandate respect for older citizens. I realize this is shocking to enablers of 'street takeovers' and violent teen mobs. I'll pause and let the suggestion sink in.
There was a time in America where there were no school resource officers or security guards. My Generation X was the last one that largely didn't have uniformed protectors on campus. Faculty, staff and angry parents called to school were the only line of defense needed. Those days are ancient history now. Young street criminals routinely attack teachers and staff without consequences. Is it any wonder they target adults off-campus?
Special charges need to exist for juveniles who attack adults. It must be made perfectly clear that grown-ups are not punching bags nor human clay pigeons in an urban shooting gallery.
Another eye-opening part of these proposed charges would be immunity from prosecution or law suits by adults defending themselves against violent young attackers. If you step out of a child's place then you invite force to used upon you in self-defense. That thudding sound in the background are enablers fainting (lol!). They've placed violent young traitors on a pedestal and can't imagine them being stopped by adult would-be victims.
Where respect for adults is non-existent in homes and neighborhoods, society must mandate harsh penalties or be held hostage by brutal teenagers-and even younger street combatants.
