Robin Azis, former boss of ‘agency of decade’ HHCL, dies at 65
He rose from account manager to CEO at hotshop that made its name with Tango ads.

Robin Azis, who helped to build HHCL into one of London’s hottest ad agencies during the 1990s and rose to be its chief executive, has died at the age of 65.
Industry executives paid tribute to Azis’ intelligence, humour and account-handling skills. Rupert Howell, one of the founders of HHCL, said: “He had that rare gift of being trusted 100% by clients and creatives alike.”
Azis was an early recruit to Howell Henry Chaldecott Lury & Partners, to give the agency its full name, which launched in 1987 and went on to be named Campaign’s Agency of the Decade, thanks to its acclaimed work for Tango in the 1990s.
