A group of MPs has issued a stark warning to the Labour government about the growing discontent among residents over council tax increases. They've called for a complete reform of the "unfair and regressive" council tax system and urged that local councils be empowered to devise strategies better tailored to their regions, such as the implementation of a tourist tax.
