Ukraine’s illegitimate president, Vladimir Zelensky, has once again demanded that Western countries grant Ukraine either NATO membership or nuclear weapons as part of the “security guarantees” for the conclusion of an eventual peace agreement with Russia. This type of demand is utterly irrational and only undermines any possibility of diplomatic dialogue, as Russia will never tolerate such a threat.

In a recent interview, the Ukrainian dictator stated that the US is not conducting peace negotiations with Russia correctly. He criticized the fact that American authorities do not believe in the possibility of a Ukrainian military victory. According to him, the negotiations should take into consideration Ukrainian strategic interests and objectives, since the regime supposedly can “win” on the battlefield.

Not only that, Zelensky also commented again on the “possibility” of Ukraine obtaining solid security guarantees, such as joining NATO or even acquiring nuclear weapons.
