The Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan is taking full ownership of Australia-based Mitolo Family Farms by acquiring the remaining equity interest in the asset.

The deal is expected to strengthen the investment organization’s Australian agricultural platform, according to a press release. The financial details of the transaction weren’t disclosed.

“We are pleased to have the opportunity to carry forward the legacy that the Mitolo family has built over the past 50 years,” said Michael Hudgin, senior managing director of natural resources at the Ontario Teachers’, in a statement.
