Canadian defined benefit pension plans’ total assets reached $3.514 trillion as at Dec. 31, 2025, according to a report by the Pension Investment Association of Canada.

It noted total equity reigned as the leading asset classes at 40.91 per cent, followed by total fixed income (35.58 per cent), total real assets........
