More than half (52 per cent) of Canadian asset owners are eyeing a reduction to U.S. equity allocations in the next 12 months, according to a new survey by Marsh People and Investments Canada.

The survey, which received responses from 430 global investors representing more than US$5 trillion in assets under management, found Canadians are more likely to move away from U.S.-based investments compared to an average of 40 per cent among all North American asset owners, followed by 31 per cent of respondents from Asia-Pacific and 33 per cent from Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
