What's the reasons

for destructive path?

Dear "Brother Bill" of Ozark, retired preacher: Thanks, but no thanks! Your column, in Gwen Faulkenberry's space April 16, left me wondering once again about the Christianity of Christians in this part of the Bible-belt world. You say you have seen a lot in your 78 years of life and that, in your opinion, "this nation is on a wide path to destruction." I couldn't agree with you more, except that I have a different take on why that is so. Principally, I think this country may be doomed because of people like you who condemn others who don't conform to your version of the Bible. You are so full of your interpretation of "righteousness" that you cannot fathom any possible deviation of God's Will.

This country may be doomed precisely because people like you elected a wanna-be despot........
