From Cairo to Mamdani: Obama’s Long Game

Here it is, the second half of 2026, and America is in the midst of a marked political shift. From the perspective of anyone with even a modicum of pattern recognition, it appears that the Islamic-socialist political transformation Obama spent years helping to cultivate could finally be coming to pass.
The former president saunters around as if he’s retired from the day-to-day work of being the coolest ex-president. But as someone who has monitored his every word and deed since the first day he imposed his smarmy attitude on America, I’d argue this man continues to be hard at work assisting all things Islamic socialist in nature.
Let’s review: while the horrors of 9/11 were still raw, newly elected Obama began dismantling the Bush-era counterterrorism framework. Within days, the 44th president prohibited CIA interrogation practices used after 9/11 and restricted interrogations in armed conflicts to techniques authorized in the U.S. Army Field Manual. Soon afterward, he demanded the closure of CIA detention centers, declared waterboarding torture, and ordered the Guantánamo Bay detention facility closed.
Then, true to form, in April 2009, Obama’s administration changed the vocabulary surrounding terrorism. Homeland Security secretary Janet Napolitano described terrorist attacks as “man-caused disasters.” The “Global War on Terror” became “Overseas Contingency Operations,” while Obama’s Justice Department abandoned the term “enemy combatant.”
Right around that time, Obama addressed the Turkish parliament, saying, “The United States is not, and will never be, at war with Islam.”
Correct me if I’m wrong, but Muslim jihadists declared war on America, not the other way around.
