How to Get the SAVE America Act Over the Finish Line

It can be done if Republicans have the political courage to listen to almost 80% of American voters.

The Founding Fathers distrusted democracy and abhorred direct elections. Instead, they gave us a republic in which the president is chosen by the Electoral College and senators by state legislatures. If they could see their republic today, and what now passes for elections, they’d be appalled.

Any mention of mail-in ballots, ballot harvesting, election “season,” drop boxes, ballot curing, and gerrymandering would have stopped the Constitutional Convention cold. The massive election fraud—I mean, “irregularities”—of the 2020 election made it unmistakably clear that if the country is not to be torn in two, election reform is imperative.

Rarely has this fractured country been more united on this fact. 80% of Americans support requiring that people present a photo ID to vote; 83% support requiring proof of citizenship to register; and three times as many voters believe there’s “a lot” of voter fraud in mail-ins compared to in-person voting (38% vs 13%).

But just like switching the clocks twice a year—approved by just 12% of Americans—somehow, nothing changes. The Deep State is not interested in what Americans want and never has been.

Trump, however, is interested in the average American. He killed off DEI, is keeping men out of your daughter’s sports and locker rooms, has secured the border, and is fighting crime—policies that are universally supported, whether openly or secretly, by all but the psychotic left.
