Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi floated the possibility on Tuesday that Republicans might try to hack into election systems to change the outcome of the 2026 midterm elections.

That’s rich coming from a leader in the Democratic Party who chastised the GOP for questioning the integrity of the 2020 presidential election.

You’ll recall that Democratic election officials in 2020, without the approval of their state legislatures, made all kinds of last-minute election rule and procedural changes regarding mail-in ballots and due dates, among other matters, in key swing states like Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin, which gave Americans reason to question the reliability of the election results.

ABC News/Ipsos polling found in January 2021 that just 37 percent were very confident in the election system, which dropped to 20 percent by January 2022.

Presently, Pelosi, without providing any evidence, is suggesting a reason why Democrats may question the 2026 midterm elections.
