That’s why a story of a compassionate company owner helping out an employee has struck a nerve. A man on Reddit shared that he had gotten laid off in 2020 and was unemployed for most of the year. After being hired in December of 2020, he was trying to get back on his feet financially. His shoes were worn through and he had holes in his jeans.
