New Delhi: Amid the Delhi Police’s denial that they used pellet guns on protesters who had responded to the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP)’s Sansad Chalo march on July 20, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on July 24 showed the 19-year-old who had sustained pellet gun injuries and demanded that “criminal education minister” Dharmendra Pradhan must resign.

“You are saying that protesters have been hit by pellet guns. I want to explain when pellet guns were fired. My brother was struck by a pellet gun when he was peacefully protesting with a tricolour in hand,” he told reporters.

He then showed 19-year-old Sahil Lochab’s injuries and said that he has lost his eyesight in one eye.
