Two Hamas terrorists, including a commander, who invaded Israel on October 7, 2023, and were responsible for the abduction of hostages, were killed in separate recent airstrikes, the Israel Defense Forces and Shin Bet announced on Tuesday.

According to the military, a strike on Saturday in Gaza City killed Adham Ibrahim Shaaban Nasman, who served as chief of operations in Hamas’s Gaza City Brigade.

Nasman previously served as a commander of a Nukhba Force battalion, and during the October 7 onslaught, “he commanded and directed the infiltration into the State of Israel by Hamas’s Gaza City Brigade,” the IDF said.

The military said that throughout the war, Nasman was responsible for holding numerous hostages in Hamas captivity, including Romi Gonen, Emily Damari, Ziv and Gali Berman, Eitan Mor, Matan Angrest and Omri Miran.

Additionally, the IDF said Nasman also previously served as the intelligence officer in the Gaza City Brigade and commander of the Shati Battalion. In those roles, he led numerous attacks on IDF troops and Israel.

Recently, the IDF said, Nasman tried to recruit and train terrorists in the Gaza City Brigade, as well as advance production and distribution of weapons, in an attempt to rebuild Hamas “while violating the ceasefire agreement.” He was therefore targeted.
