Shortly after Mark Carney announced his plan to recognize a Palestinian state at the upcoming United Nations (UN) General Assembly in September, a Jewish man in Montreal was savagely attacked and beaten in front of his three young children.

However, despite the fact that the Liberal Party has declared itself to be a champion of every minority, and, typically, immediately condemns any notable hate crime that blemishes the Canadian nation, Prime Minister Carney and his government not only failed to initially condemn the attack, but their response was tepid and insincere at best.

In fact, Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Anita Anand, limited her own respective response to a single word.

Sadly, although Canada has long been hailed as a paragon of human rights, diversity, and multiculturalism, it is clear that Prime Minister Carney and his Liberal........
