To Tucker Carlson and Every Bible-Quoting Antisemite: Stop Using God’s Name to Curse the Jews
There is something especially vile about using the language of faith to sanctify hatred. It is evil enough to slander the Jewish people. It is worse to do it while quoting Scripture, invoking Christianity, and posturing as a defender of biblical truth. That is not conviction. It is blasphemous hypocrisy.
So this needs to be said without euphemism to Tucker Carlson and every other Bible-thumping antisemite hiding behind piety: the God you keep talking about has already spoken about this. And His warning is not ambiguous.
“I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse.”
That is the promise God made to Abraham. Not to your audience. Not to your movement. To Abraham. And to his offspring. The Jewish people are not an inconvenience in the biblical story. They are at the heart of it. The covenant runs through them. The prophets came through them. The Scriptures came through them. And for Christians, even the Messiah came through them.
So let us be perfectly clear: you do not get to claim Abraham’s God — or the Son of God — while reviling Abraham’s children.
