Why is it easier to write while I reside in Israel
I just returned from a visit to the Kotel. Once I walk through the security, I always stop before I descend the stairs. Why? You might ask, aren’t you in a hurry to reach the remnants of the Beth ha Migdash, to touch its ancient stones, kiss them, and begin pleading to Hashem on behalf of so many Jewish souls who await a Refuah, whether physical or spiritual?
But first one must pause and absorb the holiest view a Jew can face. Usually my eyes follow the loudest sounds. It could be dozens of teenage girls in bright purple shirts celebrating the beginning of summer camp, as I witnessed today. They screamed and jumped so loud with their arms raised high, their excitement palpable.
