Progressive academia indoctrination and void in religious faith are factors leading young people to socialism/communism augmented with virulent antisemitism.

We left Soviet Union close to a half a century ago, a decade before the “communist paradise” had fallen apart. The Politburo of the Communist Party of USSR was the only organ which had the power to dictate the policies and rules in all areas of population existence, be it ideology, production of goods and service, military, education and entertainment. The political opposition was brutally suppressed. Yet, in a short while the “bastion of the proletariat hegemony” had perished into historic ruins. Around forty years ago, I was reading articles written by people like me who had left Soviet Union for democracies of the West. The parents were lamenting and disparaging the education their kids are getting at the schools of all levels in United Stated and Canada. The writers of the articles had witnessed the devastating effect of absence of religion in lives of people in former Soviet Union and the void in faith produced individuals with flawed moral and ethical compasses.

We started our new life in the world of Western liberal democracy with firm conviction that the absurdity and lack of common-sense approach to everyday matters, the main characteristics of communist Soviet Union, will never follow us.

In the last several decades the colleges and universities of United States and Canada went through significant changes conducive to the harmful ethos of Anti-Americanism, aversion to Canadian patriotism (under the leadership of PM Justin Trudeau) and antisemitism. An enormous bureaucracy of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) apparatchiks was created in government........
