You had twenty years to fix it. Get out of the way

I’m confused. All the couch Johnny-come-lately foreign policy experts are in an uproar and I can’t understand why. The Iran war two week ceasefire is supposedly upon us and these brilliant commentators are bellyaching that Israel is in violation of it because of their bombing of Lebanon and doing so with the sole purpose of destroying Hezbollah. From the outset of talks Israel had said they were not going to agree to a ceasefire in Lebanon and the US vice president as recently as Wednesday made it very clear Lebanon would not be and was never included. On social media, it seems some islamist in Pakistan says it was and the entire world is heaping more of its hatred on Israel for violating a ceasefire in Lebanon.

I’m gonna try to unpack this for those who don’t make use of their brains very often as well as all those backseat experts whose knowledge of conflicts on Israel’s borders began 15 minutes ago after watching AI generated posts on TikTok. For the last twenty years-I’ll write it again for the pea-brained-twenty years Hezbollah has been in violation of a ceasefire. In 2006 the worthless UN passed resolution 1701 which required Hezbollah to be north of the Litani river and Hezbollah to be disarmed. To help with that process, the UN sent troops-called UNFIL-to enforce the resolution. As early as 2006 Israel reported the violations and the feckless UN did nothing. Over the course of those next two decades Israel continued to report these constant violations, but the world said and did nothing and allowed the jihadists to continue to encroach on the agreed principles. Two more wars were fought with Hezbollah. The same truce agreement was enacted, the same world did nothing as it stood by and watched rockets fly into Israeli towns and cities.

Khawaja Muhammad Asif is the defense minister in Pakistan. A few interesting things about the newly minted experts may not know. Pakistan was founded in 1947 and is one of 50+ muslim countries in the world. Strange how no one ever complains it was created on someone else’s land. Crazy how that happens, huh? While Asif has called for Israel’s destruction on many occasions and for years has been accusing us of genocide, his latest screed on “cancerous” Israel and Zionism is only unique by it’s timing, not its content. Keep in mind that as recently as last December Pakistan expelled over a million Afghans from its borders and the world said nothing. The Jews build a playroom extension to their home in Judea and are accused of being ethnic cleansing settler colonialists.

To all of you crying about Israel blowing up a ceasefire, sit down and pay attention. You had twenty years to deal with this problem. Lebanon had twenty years, the UN had twenty years, Iran had twenty years, the US had twenty years, the entire world had twenty years. YOU. DID. NOTHING. They violated 1701 every day for twenty years.

Israeli cities were being bombarded by Hezbollah and it meant nothing to you. Daily threats and encroachments on Israel’s borders for twenty years, y’all said nothing. This nitwit in Pakistan has been in government for over thirty years and not only did nothing, but nary a peep came out of his mouth as Hezbollah continued to threaten Israel with extinction. Not one word. Zero integrity and zero credibility equal who cares what you have to say.

Following October 7th, Israel has decided we will no longer be passive bystanders in our destruction. It is long past time to end the charade. For the last couple of weeks here, we’ve heard Bibi say Israel will not agree to any ceasefire that leaves the threat of Hezbollah south of the Litani river. So the IDF and IAF are handling the problem the world ignored. You don’t like the way we are doing it? You had twenty years to make it right. You did nothing. Said nothing. You might want to sit this one out. And if our dismantling those who want to destroy us bothers you keep this in mind. As Rabbi Meir Kahane once said, “I’d rather be a Jew alive in Israel that the world hates than a dead Jew in Auschwitz the world loves.”

Our prophet Isaiah told us exactly what would happen. What would the leaders of the world say when confronted about their treatment of the Jews at the end of days? When speaking of “avdi Yaakov”-my servant Jacob-they will repeat the words of the prophet: “He was despised, and forsaken of men, a man of pains, and acquainted with disease, and as one from whom men hide their face: he was despised, and we esteemed him not.” (Isaiah 53:3) Take a look around you. There is no place on the planet where the servant Jacob, the people Israel, are not despised. How many times have you heard we disgust people simply because we exist? How many times have you heard people say we are not welcome at this place or that? How many countries line up to mistreat us in public forums, ignoring their hypocrisy as they complain about our perceived flaws? Would it be nice if people understood what we are going through? Of course. Would it have been wonderful if the nations of the world did something about Hezbollah or Hamas for the last twenty years? Sure. But they didn’t and we played the fool here by mowing the grass instead of replacing the entire lawn. No more. We need a total reconstruction and if Lebanon won’t do it, we will do it for them.

But here is another question I have for all the new geniuses. For years we have been the victims of Oslo. We have given up land for a peace we did not get. The PLO runs their areas in Yehuda and Shomron and nevertheless Israel is accused again, by the entire world, as occupying those areas because Israel retains a defensive presence to protects its citizens from jihadists intent on killing them. Using that very same logic, can we now apply it to Iran? Is Iran not occupying Lebanon? Hezbollah is not an arm of the government, they are the arm of Iran. The Lebanese government has proven to be ineffective when it comes to subduing and/or evicting these murderous thugs. Why can’t they follow Pakistan’s lead and rid their country of the jihadists in their midst? If the answer is they cannot, who is occupying Lebanon but Iran who feeds, funds, and outfits Hezbollah. After answering that question, the brand new experts can answer what business Hezbollah had to attack Israel during its war with Hamas? They chose to get involved in a war that was not theirs. Therefore it’s simple mathematics. You mess with the bull, you get the horns.

Every time I hear the pundits complain about our prosecution of existential wars, I wonder how they would respond if their children ran to safe rooms at full speed because they only had a minute, or even fifteen seconds before impact. How long would Megyn Kelly stay quiet if missiles were raining down on her children’s heads? We already know how she reacted when woke ideology entered their schools. They went elsewhere to keep them safe from the danger. How long do we have to tolerate being subjected to constant threats and bombardments? How long will our beautiful sons and daughters, spouses, and parents have to be in the military to defend our way of life, our desire to live in peace? How long would you in America or any country live with it? Tucker Carlson went berserk when protesters were outside his home in Washington DC and said in a statement his wife and children were scared because of the mob. Really? How long would it take for him/them to demand their government protect them? They want us to stand down? Then do something about it. Demand Hezbollah be evicted from Lebanon, Hamas from Gaza, Fatah from Judea Samaria. Just like Pakistan did. Now that Pakistan is our moral arbiter on the world stage, what better way to handle the problems here than to follow their lead. What could Asif or the PM of Pakistan say? Do as I say not as I do?

The Israel does not realize Pakistan gave them a major gift. I totally get that since its founding Israel has wanted to live peacefully with her Arab neighbors and even though most of the TikTok foreign policy experts and internet comedians don’t know this, it is actually written in their Declaration of Independence: “In the midst of wanton aggression we call upon the Arab inhabitants of the state of Israel to return to the ways of peace and play their part in the development of the state, with full and equal citizenship and due representation in all its bodies and institutions, provisional or permanent.” But sadly, that ship has sailed. It was a nice idea to strive for the last 80 or so years but I think the jury is in on this. They have rejected peace time after time. They have voted with their feet and their actions. Peace is not something they are interested in. Therefore maybe we need to consider what Asif and his country did. I am not advocating to evict all Arabs. Not at all. Let’s live peacefully with anyone Arab and non Arab alike provided they abide by two rules. One, allegiance to the state of Israel and understanding it is a Jewish state where they will have full equal rights as they do now, but it is 100% Jewish. Jewish Calendar, Jewish laws, Jewish government etc. And two, no proselytizing. You want to practice your religion, so be it you will have the freedom to do that here. Anyone who wants to be closer to G-d is welcome. But leave the Jewish people alone. If your religion requires you to convert Jews, maybe this is not the place for you. Additionally if your religion requires you to kill Jews in the name of your god, maybe this is not the place for you. No hard feelings, but enough is enough. It’s time to advocate for ourselves instead of everyone else. If, however, you understand and accept both these premises, welcome to Israel. We are more than happy to have you. If not, get to steppin’.

Where can they go, you ask? Twenty-one countries are recognized as Christian while 120 have majority Christian populations. There are more than 50 muslim places to choose from. It’s a simple world now. We want to live in peace, and you don’t want us to live at all. Therefore let us do what the great righteous mediators in Pakistan have done for peace and rid our country, just like our borders, of those who want to destroy us. The game is coming to an end. It is time to take account of what we stand for and what we won’t stand for. In case this idea is troubling for you, let me paraphrase Dinesh D’Souza and pay attention because his argument is unbreakable. “Every map of the world has laid out countries based on three criteria. The people are from that land, or it was negotiated, or acquired by conquest. Jews are original to the land, they were given it through negotiations in 1948 and after they were attacked, acquired it by conquest. As a matter of fact, Israel has a greater right to the land than the white man does to America.”

I love my people, be they here or in the diaspora. I love my home, Israel, just as I loved America even though she did not love me back. But the difference is in Israel I am with my family. We know it, feel it and live it here every day because underlying everything else going on around us, we the Jewish people, know we are all we have. To those “As a Jew, Jews” who are uncomfortable at their elitist book clubs and social gatherings because Israel is committing “genocide” and they’re embarrassed in front of their uppity friends, pick up a history book and learn how it ends with those sort of friends. We are doing what we need to do to make sure we are no longer sacrificed at the alter of the UN and world dictatorships. We are doing what those same people would not do for decades. Y’all had your chance to fix it. You blew it. Now it’s time for the adults to come in and clean up the messes the kids left. I pray the government allows the IDF and IAF to finish what others have started. I will end with this from Menachem Begin. In response to the German Chancellor telling Begin he needed to establish a Palestinian state Begin said the following:

“Every child in Israel, in Migdal HaEmek, in Tel Aviv, Rechovot, and Bnei Brak, and every woman will be at risk of Katyushas on their heads, just like the residents of Kiryat Shemonah at times…”

“And the German chancellor is giving me advice? He knows what’s good for our security better than me? I’ve been entrusted by the nation to ensure our security. This is my holy duty. And he’s giving me advice along with all of Europe and the entire world how to force us to accept a Palestinian state? It’s an unparalleled act of hate.”

“And who does this suggestion come from? From a member of the nation responsible for the murder of a third of our nation, six million, something that hasn’t happened from the time Hashem created man and man created Satan! He’ll give us advice on how to ensure our security? He’ll risk our lives? He’ll spread propaganda for a Palestinian state?

“Forgive me, honored friends, I came from the underground. I’m not afraid of anyone. I told him the truth to his face. I have no reason to be afraid. We saw death before our eyes every day! So when he says something like this, I shouldn’t respond? I don’t know what’s happened to my own nation? I don’t know what happened to my own family? I don’t know what happened to your brothers and sisters? And after all this, he tells us: ‘Establish a Palestinian state?’ As if to say, put the 3.5 million Jews in Eretz Yisrael at risk of death and destruction?”

“And I shouldn’t answer back? I answered him back. Properly, my friends. I didn’t hold back even one word. And if there are a few sensitive individuals who start wrinkling their noses, then they’ll have crooked noses.”

Extrapolate this speech from the righteous Prime Minister, TZL, and you can see it all applies to us today. Katyushas have been replaced by ballistic missiles with war heads and cluster bombs attached. Other than that and the population being ten million people, nothing has changed. The world still lectures us much and does little. If that makes the “as a Jew, Jew” uncomfortable so be it. If the rest of the world doesn’t like it, get a spine and strap up because sooner or later, as all of Europe is finding out, it’s coming to your shores. If podcasters have no moral compass or courage, we don’t care. That’s a you problem not a me problem.

Menachem Begin’s speech was spot on then just as it is now and I couldn’t have said it better myself.

I hope you enjoy our Shabbat Queen. I have been waiting for Her all day.
