A quick reminder for anyone in Washington, especially Vice President Vance, who suddenly speaks as though American money built the State of Israel:

Let us start with the number that gets thrown around to intimidate Israelis into gratitude and silence. Yes, the United States has given Israel over $300 billion in cumulative aid since its founding, adjusted for inflation. That sounds enormous, and it is. But now place it next to another number: Israel’s 2026 annual state budget is about $271 billion.

Israel’s current budget for one year is roughly the same size as the ENTIRE cumulative inflation-adjusted amount America has given Israel over nearly eight decades.

That does not mean American aid is irrelevant. It is not. It matters. It has mattered. It has saved lives, strengthened our military, and deepened a strategic alliance that remains critically important.

But it does mean one thing very clearly: American money did not build Israel. Israeli zionists built Israel.

We built this country with blood, taxes, reserve duty, immigration, industry, innovation, entrepreneurship, military sacrifice, and national endurance. We built it while fighting wars, burying our dead, absorbing terror, and defending borders that others kept trying to erase. We built it while turning a tiny, embattled state........
