David Knight: Central Bar thugs deserved a harsh lesson in the consequences of violence
I have to tell you that it’s been a long time since I enjoyed something as much as the video of a bar punch-up in Aberdeen.
I know I shouldn’t say it.
It was sickening really, and these types of incidents always make me throw my hands up in horror and despair at the human race.
Even animals avoid this sort of thing unless it’s a matter of life or death.
But some people thrive on senseless confrontation and violence.
What was particularly enjoyable about the video shown by The P&J online was how the tables were turned on a pair of thugs at the Central Bar.
A hero stepped forward and sent them packing.
In a John Wayne or Jason Statham kind of way.
It showed how taking the law into your own hands does work sometimes, but these things can backfire as well.
We see examples of this all the time.
The fracas captured on security cameras showed two halfwits terrorising customers and staff in the bar.
Central bar barman was the hero of the hour
It seemed the pair were looking for an easy target and they found one in the shape of a pensioner of almost 70 who was celebrating his birthday.
He was punched repeatedly by one of the assailants, who were young enough........
