Damir Davydov commanded Russia’s missile forces in Ukraine—before his death in a mysterious car bombing in a Moscow suburb this week.

The war in Ukraine continues to prove particularly deadly for senior Russian officers. A Russian senior officer with substantial involvement in the missile strikes against Ukrainian cities was mysteriously assassinated this week in Moscow—presumably the work of Ukrainian agents.

Another Russian Officer Bites the Dust  

Colonel Damir Davydov, a senior military official in Russia’s Main Missile and Artillery Directorate, was killed on Tuesday morning at roughly 5:30 a.m. Moscow time by a car bomb in the suburb of Balashikha.
