The F-117 Nighthawk and B-2 Spirit were fundamentally built for the same purpose. So why did they look so different?
The F-117 Nighthawk and B-2 Spirit were the first two operational American bomber aircraft to feature stealth technology. Both emerged from highly classified late-Cold War programs, and both were built to penetrate the Soviet Union’s increasingly dense air defense system.
