An Instructive Moment

The proverb ‘As you sow so shall you reap’ reflects the eternal truth that every human being will be rewarded or punished according to his good or bad deeds in this world. If somebody causes harm to others through devious and sinister means, or uses his status and power to undermine national interests, there is no escape for him from due punishment for his evil pursuits. This reality is also reiterated in a couplet of Faiz in these words: one will be rewarded or punished for his deeds, and the day of resurrection will come in this very world. The concept of Divine Retribution is also a fundamental aspect of Allah’s perfect justice, ensuring that all actions, good or evil, are met with appropriate consequences. It guarantees that no injustice will go unaddressed, especially for the oppressed who find hope in the promise of ultimate fairness.
