The Vision of PMYP

Pakistan is among the fortunate countries of the world where the proportion of young people in the population is exceptionally high. Nearly two-thirds of the country's population is under the age of 30, a phenomenon often described by experts as a “youth bulge.” This demographic reality presents both a golden opportunity and a significant challenge for Pakistan. If young people are provided with quality education, modern skills, employment opportunities, and positive guidance, they can become the driving force behind the country's economic growth, social stability, and technological innovation. However, if their potential remains untapped, they may become an additional burden on national resources.

Recognizing this reality, the Government of Pakistan introduced the Prime Minister's Youth Programme (PMYP) as a comprehensive platform for youth development and nation-building. The primary objective of the programme is to empower young people through education, employment, entrepreneurship, social inclusion, and environmental awareness, enabling them to play an active role in the country's progress.
