I listened to the testimony of Marimar Martinez, a U.S. citizen on her way to donate clothes to her church. She found herself in an ICE raid and she opened her windows to alert others of ICE agents.

She was directed to get out of her vehicle. She began to drive away and the border patrol side swiped her vehicle. As she fled, she realized she had been shot.

She pulled into a body shop and asked for help. The ICE agents tried to detain her but the paramedics took her to the hospital. After three hours, she was taken to an FBI facility.

ICE claimed she was a domestic terrorist and that she rammed their vehicle. After Marimar spent a painful night in jail, the judge released her. The agent wrote in a text, “I fired 5 rounds and she had 7 holes. Put that in your book boys.”

The next day, the agent drove the Tahoe from Chicago to Maine, removing evidence. After 46 days the prosecutors dropped the charges.
