Sun Pharma bought the dip in its $11.7B Organon deal. Just not the right kind of dip

That is the refrain across Indian pharma since 27 April, when Sun Pharmaceutical announced its $11.75 billion all-cash acquisition of Organon, the largest outbound deal by any Indian drugmaker ever.
It shows rare ambition for a $6.9 billion-revenue company to buy a $6.2 billion target. The scope is rarer still. In a single stroke, Sun will now rank in the global top three in women’s health, be among the top 1o biosimilars players, and enter pharma’s global top 25.
