Time for Starmer to step in to save PSNI
It’s time for Sir Keir Starmer to wake up and smell the coffee about the state of policing in Northern Ireland.
It’s the primary duty of a prime minister and government to protect its citizens. To be safe and secure is a basic right wherever one lives in the United Kingdom.
Devolution doesn’t lessen (or loosen) the responsibility of the sovereign government to ensure that every citizen, immaterial of their postcode, is protected and that every police service in any part of the United Kingdom has the resources to carry out that role.
Access to a fully resourced police service should not be like the postcode lottery – excluding Northern Ireland.
