Outrage needs directed at Israel, not Kneecap
Not since John Lennon famously said The Beatles were more popular than Jesus has there been more hyperventilating about musicians saying stupid stuff.
Even in my long-since departed “yoof”, I was not inclined to take anything that a punk band said as a call to arms, or a philosophy to live one’s life by.
But it seems like the Irish language rappers Kneecap have single-handedly threatened the future of western civilisation.
C’mon, really? Their comments about the only good Tory being a dead one and kill your local MP were pretty moronic, but just the sort of nonsensical hyperbole used to get a roar from a crowd of boozed-up teenagers. It’s not exactly new territory for rock bands is it?
