(KTLA) – Jillian Lauren Shriner, the woman booked for attempted murder after being shot by police searching for hit-and-run suspects in Los Angeles Tuesday, had fired a gun at officers during a standoff, police said.

Shriner, an author and the wife of Weezer bassist Scott Shriner, got mixed up in the incident after a suspect fleeing a hit-and-run on the 134 Freeway fled on foot into the Eagle Rock neighborhood.
