(NewsNation) — Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy sought to assure Americans on Monday that a “human” will always manage U.S. airspace while unveiling a new AI tool aimed at helping air traffic controllers manage congestion and reduce flight delays.

“It’s always going to be a human that manages the airspace in America,” Duffy said during the event in Washington.

The Strategic Management of Airspace, Routes, and Trajectories, or SMART, program will use AI to analyze air travel, airport capacity and weather. The........
