Madonna announces ‘Confessions II’ release date, reveals covers of 15th album
(NEXSTAR) – After seven long years for fans, pop queen Madonna finally gave the world its first real peek at her long-teased 15th studio album on Tuesday morning.
The music superstar revealed the artwork for and release date for “Confessions II,” a sequel album to her beloved 2005 dance-pop masterpiece “Confessions on a Dancefloor.”
The album, first teased by Madonna in February 2025, will reunite the 67-year-old hitmaker with English electronic super-producer Stuart Price, who co-produced some of the most iconic tracks from “COADF,” including the ABBA-sampling “Hung Up” and the trance-infused “Get Together.”
In an Instagram post, Madonna announced the album, also referred to as “Confessions on a Dance Floor: Part II,” would be released July 3. So far, the artist has confirmed three tracks on the record, including “I Feel So Free,” previewed as part of the announcement, in addition to “Forgive Yourself” and “Fragile.” In a September 2025 interview on the “On Purpose with Jay Shetty” podcast, she described the latter two songs as exploring her strained relationship with her brother Christopher Ciccone, who died in October 2024.
