Kevin Warsh confirmed as Federal Reserve chair

The Senate on Wednesday confirmed Kevin Warsh to be chair of the Federal Reserve.

The Senate voted 54-45, with Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) joining Republicans in backing Warsh to lead the central bank, where he will have significant influence over interest rates.

Warsh is set to replace Jerome Powell, who has repeatedly clashed with President Trump.
