Jon Ossoff bashes Trump in viral speech — Dem rockstar on the rise?  

If you weren’t paying attention to Sen. Jon Ossoff before, chances are you’ve seen him in your social media feed lately.  

The Georgia Democrat is going viral again after remarks he made at a campaign rally in Atlanta, where he took aim at President Trump in a way that instantly grabbed attention.  

Ossoff: “He’s trying to put his face on the money. Did you see that? He’s building a monument to himself. But see, Atlanta, he’s doing these things now because no one will honor him when he’s gone … because he’s a failed president and a national disgrace.”  

What’s interesting about this isn’t just the criticism. It’s the timing.  

Ossoff is already building toward what could become one of the most closely watched Senate races in America, while Republicans are still fighting over who will challenge him. Georgia Congressman Mike Collins and former football coach Derek Dooley are headed to a June runoff, meaning Republicans are still sorting out their nominee while Ossoff has spent months raising money, organizing supporters, and defining the race on his own terms.  

For Democrats, that’s a significant advantage.
