Gas prices spike to historic levels as Trump’s Iran war keeps going

For the first time in years, every single state in America now has average gas prices above four dollars a gallon. In some places, it’s much worse. California drivers are staring at more than $6 a gallon, and analysts warn we could soon see national averages hit record highs if the Strait of Hormuz remains shut down during the ongoing conflict with Iran.

This isn’t just about what it costs to fill up your tank. Gas prices touch almost everything. When energy prices surge, shipping costs rise. Groceries get more expensive. Airlines raise fares — they already have.

Restaurants pay more for deliveries. Construction companies pay more to move materials. It becomes a chain reaction that hits nearly every American household.

How much does the president care? Apparently, this much: “I don’t think about Americans’ financial situation. I don’t think about anybody. I think about one thing. We cannot let Iran have a nuclear weapon. That’s all.”

Now, to be fair, preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon is a major national security priority for both parties and multiple administrations.........
