House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) said he had a “constructive meeting” with Democratic New York City mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani in Brooklyn on Friday.

The meeting, which took place in Jeffries’ home district, lasted an hour, according to Jeffries’s spokesperson Justin Chermol.

“The meeting between Leader Jeffries and Assemblyman Mamdani was constructive, candid and community-centered, with a particular focus on affordability,” Chermol said, adding that the two also discussed public........
